Dollywood Packing List
Packing can be Daunting!
Packing for Vacation can be daunting! We find that if you have a checklist to follow as you pack your suitcase and/or vehicle you will be less likely to leave something behind. We have created a packing list for you to use as a guideline for your trip to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee, specifically curated for visiting Dollywood’s Theme Park and Splash Country.
This list includes a lot, so we aren’t saying that everyone will need to bring everything. Simply use it as a guide. Add to or take away items that don’t apply to your trip! We would love to hear feedback from you! Did we miss something that you just can’t vacation without? Let us know and we will get it added to the list!
Clothing Items
This list contains items for different seasons of the year. Take into consideration when you will be visiting and check the weather forecast for the area. You will be able to decide whether shorts or warmer clothes are more appropriate!
Toiletry Items
If you forget a toiletry item, there are many places you can visit to pick up what you left at home. Another option may be checking with your hotel. Sometimes they offer complimentary toiletries. If you are staying at a cabin in the area, this means you likely have your vehicle or a rental car and you will have to pay a visit to one of the stores in the area. There are many to choose from such as Kroger, Walmart, Dollar General, Food City, etc.
Medicine/First Aid Items
Don’t spoil your vacation by forgetting to bring along your prescription medications. If this happens to you, call your physician’s office and explain the situation. There are several pharmacies in the area that you may be able to have a new prescription called into. The number #1 thing we like to make sure we have is pain medicine. Nothing can ruin the mood more than a headache!
Baby/Toddler Items
Everyone can agree that traveling with Infants and Toddlers means you are going to have to bring a lot more stuff! Here is our list of must haves when traveling with little ones!
Food Items
When you are visiting the area will you be staying in a hotel or in a cabin? Do you plan on eating out for most of your trip or making some meals at “home”? By answering these questions, you will be able to decide what food items you want to bring along!
Pro-Tip: If you are planning on preparing meals at your cabin, do a grocery pick up order! You can organize and place your order before you even leave home! Make sure that you map out your journey so your pick up time will be accurate. We have personally used the Walmart in Sevierville right on the parkway (1414 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862). Who wants to grocery shop while on vacation? Not us!
Pro-Tip: If you are coffee aficionados like we are, order your coffee from Hearthstone Coffee Company ahead of time and put it in your bag! All cabins have coffee makers so why not enjoy the freshest coffee around! Order yours today here! Trust us, you will thank us!
Paperwork
Most of our paperwork is in digital form but we always like to have our Dollywood tickets, season pass information, and other attraction tickets for the area printed out. Just in case technology fails, you can still be on your way to a fun filled adventure.
Pro-Tip: Print out and laminate your touring plan for your park bag. If you don’t want to take the time to pull up your digital copy or don’t have your phone, you can easily reference your copy. Laminating will keep it safe from water, sweat, and other liquids that may find their way to it.
